What does NJ taps do…
NJ Taps is the New Jersey Chapter of Bugles Across America. We are a local network of volunteers that provides a live performance of the “taps” military bugle call. The service is often performed graveside on short notice, or scheduled in advance for public functions (9-11 memorial, veteran’s day, etc)
Our volunteers take this commitment seriously, and refer to a performance as a Mission, because we know people depend on this service.
Who relies on this service…
- Families & Funeral Directors
- Local Governments
- Military Service Organizations (VFW, Marine Corps League, American Legion, etc)
How we do it…
- Appropriate dress
- Performing correctly
- Being dependable
- Following instructions from family or event coordinator
